Ellipsis is a collaborative music creation and publishing platform. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Accounts are for people. Automated agents, bots, scripted clients and bulk-generation tooling are prohibited. We use liveness verification, device attestation and rate limiting to enforce this, and we may suspend any account we reasonably believe to be automated.
You keep ownership of everything you record, write and upload. You grant Ellipsis a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, stream and display your content solely to operate and promote the service. That licence ends when you delete the content, save for copies retained in backups and legal records.
You may not upload material that is wholly or substantially generated by an artificial intelligence system, nor pass off a generated performance as your own. Assistive tooling used on material you performed — tuning, time correction, amp modelling, noise reduction — is permitted and must be disclosed where the app asks.
A release cannot be published until the contribution splits total 100% and every named contributor has signed. Signed splits are binding between the contributors; Ellipsis records them and is not a party to them. Ellipsis does not collect or distribute royalties on your behalf unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Premium is billed through the App Store or Google Play at the price shown at purchase, renewing until cancelled. Manage or cancel in your store account; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds follow the policy of the store that processed the payment.
No infringement of others' rights, no harassment or hate speech, no sexual content involving minors, no malware, no scraping, no artificial inflation of Spikes, plays or chart position, and no circumvention of our verification systems.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these terms. Where the law allows, we will tell you why and how to appeal. You may close your account at any time from Settings.
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ellipsis excludes implied warranties and limits its aggregate liability to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or USD 100. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We will give at least 30 days' notice in-app before material changes take effect.
