Send a written notice to our designated agent containing: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material on Ellipsis and enough detail to locate it; your contact details; a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act for the owner.

If your material was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice with your signature, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, your contact details, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address. We may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the claimant files suit.
Three upheld claims within twelve months results in permanent termination.
