Account details you give us (name, email, handle, profile image); content you create (recordings, stems, mixes, artwork, messages, split agreements); and technical data needed to run the service (device model, OS version, app version, IP address, crash traces).
The microphone is used only while you are actively recording in the app. Audio is never captured in the background, and nothing is transmitted until you save or share a take.
We share data with processors acting on our instructions: cloud hosting and CDN, audio fingerprinting, image moderation, analytics and crash reporting, and payment platforms. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your recordings to train generative models.
Content is kept while your account is open. Rights records — split agreements, release metadata and takedown correspondence — are retained for seven years after a release, because they are legal records. Everything else is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
You can delete your account from Settings inside the app, or at https://ellipsismusic.net/delete-account. You may request access, correction, export or erasure at tosin.kasali@gmail.com. If you are in the EEA or UK, our lawful bases are contract, legitimate interests and consent for the microphone; you may complain to your supervisory authority. If you are in California, you have the rights described in the CCPA/CPRA and we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.
Ellipsis is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA). Accounts found to belong to children are removed.
